Jonathan Curbello-Rankine
My name is Jonathan Curbello-Rankine; I was born and raised here on the Cayman Islands. I have lived here for most of my life. My hobbies include playing video games, collecting cards, and watching videos.
My dreams for the future are to go into ministry particularly into the pastoral section and perhaps one day to be the head of a church, whether it’s my home or one that I get placed into, that is for God to decide.
In terms of academics, so far, I was the valedictorian of my high school class; I have completed an associate degree in business administration. Currently I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration and I am nearing the end of said degree with only 4 classes left. I have been doing well so far (thanks be to God). I have been with InterVarsity since the year 2015 when I met Tomy and he invited me to attend. Since then, I have been attending meetings consistently even graduating, in a sense, to manage my own small group on the campus for a while. Even though things didn’t go as well as I would have liked, (due to a low turnout for many meetings) I did learn a lot about building lessons for a small group setting which helped in my own study of the word as well.
Aside from InterVarsity, I intern at my church (Agape Family Worship Center) two day a week and have performed other leadership roles such as teaching Sunday School and teaching at Vacation Bible School.
